The Process
Three thoughtful steps to help you feel validated
Step 1. The Pre-work 60 minutes


Our first step is an invitation to share your story, though the process is just as powerful if you choose to remain private. We will focus on how you feel now and how you would like to feel moving forward, in a reflection similar to a birth debrief. We will conclude with a guided relaxation to help you feel focused and grounded.
Step 2. The Rewind 90 minutes
This stage involves the actual Rewind technique, conducted while you are in a deeply relaxed state. The aim is to reprocess the memory so that it no longer carries its current emotional charge, effectively neutralizing the triggers that impact your daily life.
Our final session is a time to check in and discuss the shifts you’ve noticed since the Rewind process. We will reflect on how you feel now and look forward to the future as you step into this next chapter with confidence.
Step 3. The Review 30-45 minutes

Childbirth doesn't always go as planned. Between 30% and 45% of women report perceiving their birth experience as traumatic. Essentially, roughly 1 in 3 new mothers walk away from delivery feeling that the event was traumatic to some degree — whether from medical emergencies, feeling unheard by staff, or a birth that was nothing like expected. Interestingly, data show that women who have had a traumatic first birth are often highly proactive in later pregnancies. Armed with insight into how the hospital system works, they frequently seek out targeted support, choose different care models, or focus on techniques like the 3-Step Rewind to clear the old fear so they can enter their next birth feeling empowered rather than afraid. Birth trauma isn't a disorder — it's what happens when your mind and body experience something overwhelming. It doesn't matter whether your birth looked "fine" from the outside. What matters is how it felt, and how it's still affecting you now.

The 3-Step Rewind works by gently reducing the emotional intensity attached to difficult memories — without requiring you to relive them in detail. A calmer nervous system means clearer thinking, less overwhelm, and more space to be present as a parent.

Content-light — You won't need to retell your story in full or relive the memory in detail.
Solution-focused — This is a targeted technique, not open-ended long-term treatment.
Memory-safe — The process shifts how you feel about a memory, not the memory itself.
Emotionally led — We focus on your feelings and experience, not clinical notes or paperwork.
