Birth Trauma Support in Ireland
If your birth didn't go the way you hoped, or the way it went has stayed with you longer than you expected, you're not alone, and what you're feeling has a name. Birth trauma is more common than most people realise, and it's not something you have to carry quietly or just get over.
What is birth trauma?
Birth trauma is any birth experience, vaginal, C-section, planned or emergency, that leaves you feeling frightened, powerless, unsupported, or disconnected from what happened to your body and your baby. It isn't only about medical complications. A birth can look fine on paper and still leave lasting emotional weight, especially when you felt unheard, rushed, or unprepared for what took place.
If any of this sounds familiar, it doesn't mean something is wrong with you, it means your mind is still holding onto something that hasn't been fully processed yet. You can read more about the signs and how the 3-Step Rewind technique works in the FAQ's section on the Home page.
How support works
Beyond the Birth Support offers a structured, gentle path through the 3-Step Rewind technique, a specific, trauma-focused approach designed for exactly this — content-light and solution-focused, without needing to relive your story in full detail. Sessions are fully online, so you can access support from anywhere in Ireland, at a time that works around a new baby.
You don't have to carry this alone
Whether your birth was recent or years ago, whether it was your first baby or your third, it's never too late to process what happened and feel more like yourself again.
